MICHAEL FREUND: Ezekiel is commanded by God to take two sticks. On one, he is to write "For Judah," and on the other "For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim." Then comes the crucial instruction: "Bring them together into one stick so that they become one in your hand" (37:17). Ezekiel's vision is not one of uniformity. The two sticks do not cease to be what they are. Judah remains Judah; Joseph remains Joseph. Unity does not erase difference – it sanctifies and elevates it by placing it within a larger shared destiny.

Ketriel Blad: In other words, in order for a total restoration to take place, the restored Ephraimites from among the nations will have to become Jewish, in the legal sense of the word, thus accepting the Jewish authorities and becoming obedient to Jewish halachah. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 37:19 the Hebrew text can be understood as HaShem giving Yehuda's stick the function of being over Ephraim's stick and this way both sticks will become one. This teaches us that the Ephraimite movement that comes from heaven cannot rise apart from the Jewish people without submission to the Jewish leaders' authority. This is not for all the gentiles.

Rami Abdel RahmanThe vast majority had already fled. Only those too poor to flee stayed behind.

Fleming Rutledge: American Christianity, as Richard Niebuhr pointed out long ago, has tended to preach a gospel without judgment and a Christ without a cross. This is an old problem. We want to be happy. We want to be positive. We want to overlook the almost unbelievable problems we face today. Yet this is not the case for the poorest of the poor. They know there’s a need for judgment and for a heavenly deliverer.

My Sweetest Children.
Listen carefully. Things are not what they appear to be at all in the world. Everything is chafuch (upside down). In shamayim (heaven) things are looking wonderful. The more it seems crazier down below that much closer we are to finally bringing the Geula (Final Redemption).
The world needs to switch to this consciousness – and to see with Moshiach (Messianic) eyes what is happening. Be fearless as Hashem (G-d) in running everything. Those killed recently in the horrible attacks were tzaddikim who volunteered for this work – to wake up Klal Yisrael (Nation of Israel) and those injured are causing a great sweet stir in Shamayim from all the tefillot (Prayer) and tehillim (psalms) being sent. And the achdut (unity) being created had been so sweet.
We all need to learn to act this way – to cry out to Hashem in love, to love each other with sweet achdut. to honestly care about one another. We are so close to breaking through. Much has been done in Shamayim and by Tzaddikim (righteous saintly persons) to lessen the pain and to stop what was supposed to happen but when people are still sleeping, there needs to be wake up calls. I would rather the wakeup call be a sweet mother’s kiss but sometimes people just don’t wake up.
Help the world wake up. Tell them they are missing the point. Many of our religious leaders are not doing their jobs properly and are more concerned with their own well being and situation than that of their followers or klal yisrael. New leaders will start to emerge now – right now – and the old guard will start to step aside. Leaders need to emerge – especially in the religious community – who are on Hashem’s “side” not their own sides for political or economic gain. Time is short. They must move aside peacefully or they will be removed from Shamayim.
The new guard of Tzaddikim is about to emerge and they won’t look like the leaders you expect. They won’t have the family dynasty names you are accustomed to from the generations. Most you have never heard of previously. Most are Baalei Teshuva who did not grow up religious, and some like Onkelos or Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Meir were either Gerei Tzedek (righteous converts) or came from them. And many of the leaders today will be women. Just like the first Geula from Mitzayim (Egypt) this final Geula will also be in the merit of the righteous women. But today – they will be playing a much bigger role in the leadership especially as the Geula is a about switching to more of the Divine Feminine energy. The Scheina (Divine Presence) is starting to shine much more greatly on all levels and with that is the emergence of the holy feminine energy transforming the more aggressive male energy – in both men and women.
But men – don’t fear this new “order”. Embrace it cherish it as it will open up in each one of you an even higher G-dly spark than you knew you ever had. And as leadership goes, we all want those who are truly connected to Hashem. And Moshiach will be one who not only brings emunah (faith) and achdut to the world but who has perfected the balance of his male and female energies. He will also be someone most so far have never heard of, but will contain the energy of one everybody has heard of.
So on my Yahrzeit/ Hilula (Anniversary of Passing to the higher worlds) – please my children – Love each other – no matter what the other person looks like or how he or she is dressed. Care for each other and embrace one another – Don’t judge one another as who among us can really approach his maker guilt free. Don’t judge – Embrace. Share your Torah and Your Shabbats (Sabbaths) with those who might know or observe less. Do you really truly know in Shamayim who is higher? Perhaps that person ignorant of Torah and mitzvahs (good deeds) is a tzaddik who volunteered to come into the world to teach you a lesson. Be Kind – Do you really know what someone else is going through? Bless everyone you see, whether they can hear you or not. Hashem hears you.
And Love Hashem – He wants our love more than we can every comprehend. He doesn’t need us for anything and unlike angels, we have bechira (free choice), so are much more difficult. He created us to love us – and He rightfully wants to be loved in return. Remember we are created in Hashem’s image – so just as we want love, so does Hashem.
So let’s not just ask Hashem for things we need and we want. Ask what can you do for Hashem. Ask what can you do for Klal Yisrael and for the world, as the Geula is for the whole world – with Klal Yisrael as Hashem’s Shaliach (messenger / channel). And let’s ask how we can love Hashem even more.
With love from your mother,
Rachel

Writing is a way to be useful if you believe that our long-suffering humanity must be better, and more fully educated, given the incredible ignorance in which we are all enveloped, with the exception of researchers who in the sciences seek satisfactory answers. This is a word which implies in a few letters its immense content.
All of us in our youth heard talk at some point about Einstein, in particular after the explosion of the atomic bombs which pulverized Hiroshima and Nagasaki, putting an end to the cruel war between the United States and Japan.
When those bombs were dropped, after the war unleashed by the attack on the U.S. base at Pearl Harbor, the Japanese Empire had already been defeated. The United States, whose territory and industries remained removed from the war, became the country with the greatest wealth and the best weaponry on Earth, in a world torn apart, full of death, the wounded and hungry.
The Soviet Union and China together lost more than 50,000,000 lives, along with enormous material damage. Almost all of the gold in the world landed in the vaults of the United States. Today it is estimated that the entirety of this country’s gold reserves reached 8,133.5 tons of this metal. Despite that, tearing up the Bretton Woods accords they signed, the United States unilaterally declared that it would not fulfill its duty to back the Troy ounce with the value in gold of its paper money.
The measure ordered by Nixon violated the commitments made by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. According to a large number of experts on the subject, the foundation of a crisis was created, which among other disasters threatens to powerfully batter the economy of this model of a country. Meanwhile, Cuba is owed compensation equivalent to damages, which have reached many millions of dollars, as our country has denounced throughout our interventions in the United Nations, with irrefutable arguments and facts.
As has been expressed with clarity by Cuba’s Party and government, to advance good will and peace among all the countries of this hemisphere and the many peoples who are part of the human family, and thus contribute to the survival of our species in the modest place the universe has conceded us, we will never stop struggling for peace and the well-being of all human beings, for every inhabitant on the planet regardless of skin color or national origin, and for the full right of all to hold a religious belief or not.
The equal right of all citizens to health, education, work, food, security, culture, science, and wellbeing, that is, the same rights we proclaimed when we began our struggle, in addition to those which emerge from our dreams of justice and equality for all inhabitants of our world, is what I wish for all. To those who share all or part of these same ideas, or superior ones along the same lines, I thank you, dear compatriots.

||Toma is traditionally believed to have sailed to India and is believed to have landed at the port of Muziris (modern-day North Paravur and Kodungalloor in modern day Kerala state) where there was a Jewish community||

Pistis Sophia: Hearken Philip, blessed one, that I may discourse with thee; for it is thou and Thomas and Matthew on whom it is enjoined by the First Mystery to write all the discourses which I shall speak and [all which I shall] do, and all things which ye shall see. But as for thee, the number of the discourses which thou hast to write, is so far not yet completed. When it is then completed, thou art to come forward and proclaim what pleaseth thee. Now, therefore, ye three have to write down all the discourses which I shall speak and [all things which I shall] do and which ye shall see, in order that ye may bear witness to all things of the kingdom of heaven.

Acts of Thomas: "Fear not, Thomas. Go away to India and proclaim the Word, for my grace shall be with you." But the Apostle still demurred, so the Lord overruled the stubborn disciple by ordering circumstances so compelling that he was forced to accompany an "Indian" merchant, Abbanes, as a slave to his native place in northwest "India," where he found himself in the service of the Indo-Parthian king, Gondophares. According to the Acts of Thomas, the apostle’s ministry resulted in many conversions throughout the kingdom, including the king and his brother.
Hymns of St. Ephrem, edited by Lamy (Ephr. Hymni et Sermones, IV): It was to a land of dark people he was sent, to clothe them by Baptism in white robes. His grateful dawn dispelled India’s painful darkness. It was his mission to espouse India to the One-Begotten. The merchant is blessed for having so great a treasure. Edessa thus became the blessed city by possessing the greatest pearl India could yield. Thomas works miracles in India, and at Edessa Thomas is destined to baptize peoples perverse and steeped in darkness, and that in the land of India.
Εὐσέβιος: Bar-Tôlmay went on a missionary tour to India, where he left behind a copy of the scroll of Matisyahu.
מרים המגדלית: This is what thy light-power prophesied afore time through Moses: "By two or three witnesses shall every matter be established." The three witnesses are Philip and Thomas and Matthew.

Pesikta Rabbati, Piska 37.1, Yale University Press, Pages 685-686: In the month of Nisan the Patriarchs will arise and say to the Messiah: Ephraim, our true Messiah, thou art greater than we because thou didst suffer for the iniquities of our children; and terrible ordeals befell thee, such Ordeals as did not befall earlier generations or later ones; for the sake of Israel thou didst become a laughingstock and a derision among the nations of the earth, and didst sit in darkness, in thick darkness, and thine eyes saw no light, And thy skin cleaved to thy bones, and thy body was as dry as a piece of wood; And thine eyes grew dim from fasting, and thy strength was dried up like a potsherd-All of these afflictions on account of the iniquities of our children…the Holy One, Blessed be He, will lift the Messiah up to the heaven of heavens, and cloak him in something of the splendor of His own glory.

Neil Asher Silberman, Israel Finkelstein, David Ussishkin, and Baruch Halpern: The Book of Joshua (12:21) specifically mentions the defeat of the king of Megiddo and the allotment of his territory to the tribe of Manasseh;

JACQUELINE SCHAALJE: Beit Shean is mentioned as belonging to the conquered area of the Israelite tribe of Manasseh

NETANYA MUNICIPALITY: thanks to the Lord for giving them {Netan~ya, lot. "gift of God"} the ability to continue the legacy of the 12 tribes who settled in the Land of Israel, and particularly of the half~tribe of Manasseh, which settled in the region.

Stephen Epstein: Some went down the Mekong River into Vietnam, the Philippines, Siam, Thailand and Malaysia, while some of the Israelites moved to Burma and west to India.
