MICHAEL FREUND: Ezekiel is commanded by God to take two sticks. On one, he is to write "For Judah," and on the other "For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim." Then comes the crucial instruction: "Bring them together into one stick so that they become one in your hand" (37:17). Ezekiel's vision is not one of uniformity. The two sticks do not cease to be what they are. Judah remains Judah; Joseph remains Joseph. Unity does not erase difference – it sanctifies and elevates it by placing it within a larger shared destiny.

Ketriel Blad: In other words, in order for a total restoration to take place, the restored Ephraimites from among the nations will have to become Jewish, in the legal sense of the word, thus accepting the Jewish authorities and becoming obedient to Jewish halachah. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 37:19 the Hebrew text can be understood as HaShem giving Yehuda's stick the function of being over Ephraim's stick and this way both sticks will become one. This teaches us that the Ephraimite movement that comes from heaven cannot rise apart from the Jewish people without submission to the Jewish leaders' authority. This is not for all the gentiles.

BATSHEVA SHULMAN: The State of Israel has launched a major government-led initiative to complete the aliyah and family reunification of the Bnei Menashe community, marking a shift from privately run efforts to full state responsibility.

The project, known as Operation Kanfei Shahar (Wings of Dawn), is being coordinated by the Aliyah and Integration Ministry in partnership with the Jewish Agency, the Chief Rabbinate, the conversion system (Ma’arach Hagiyur), and multiple government ministries. ✈️

While Bnei Menashe in Israel are comprised of Indian Jews from Manipur and Mizoram, one of my hobbies is integrating Bnei Menashe East of the Jordan River from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, The Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam into Jewish Consciousness. I believe, the covenantal blessings inherent in the tribe of Manasseh extends to Ingrafted Christians from Southeast Asia.

PS Haokip: From Mongolia, the Manasseh people headed eastwards, the direction from which the sun rises and went on to North Korea, South Korea and to Japan. As it was difficult to cross the Pacific Ocean, many advanced and settled towards the east coast of China, Taiwan, The Philippines, Yunnan Province in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Burma, North East India, and Bhutan. From Siberia, a section of the population settled in Western China, Ladakh in Jammu & Kashmir, and Sikkim.

Our forefathers who settled in Northeast India, Burma and Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh were known by the names of two brothers, namely, Songthu and Songja.

Jaideep Mazumdar: Top sources confirm that there indeed is a long-term project of encouraging the formation of a Christian state comprising contiguous areas of Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India and inhabited by the "Zo" people.

ZVIKA KLEIN: The Kuki language and its various dialects are a branch of the Sino-Tibetan family of languages that are spoken in the northeastern part of India, where the Bnei Menashe community resides, as well as in eastern Bangladesh and western Burma.

Badd: Of the ten lost tribes, Malays were said to be the Manasseh

Daniel Korobkin: The point is that Menashe possessed this ability to forgive and forget, to move on from the past and to view everything, even the adversities that one has suffered at the hands of others, to be part of the Divine plan and ultimately of benefit to oneself. This is probably the most important trait that one needs in order to be a bridge-builder and reconciler. One has to look past previous offenses and transgressions in order to create reconciliation and peace between two factions. This is why Menashe was chosen to be the tribe to create the bridge between both sides of the Jordan.
הרב ד"ר אמיר משיח: Menashe stands between Judah's particularistic approach and Joseph's universalistic vision. He is "between them," a rare fusion of these ideologies. Half of the tribe settles in Israel, like Judah, and the other half resides abroad, like Joseph. This is Menashe's path: the path of integration, of "the interpreter between them," who knows how to balance Israel's sanctity in its homeland with its sanctity as a light to the nations.

Neil Asher Silberman, Israel Finkelstein, David Ussishkin, and Baruch Halpern: The Book of Joshua (12:21) specifically mentions the defeat of the king of Megiddo and the allotment of his territory to the tribe of Manasseh;

JACQUELINE SCHAALJE: Beit Shean is mentioned as belonging to the conquered area of the Israelite tribe of Manasseh

NETANYA MUNICIPALITY: thanks to the Lord for giving them {Netan~ya, lot. "gift of God"} the ability to continue the legacy of the 12 tribes who settled in the Land of Israel, and particularly of the half~tribe of Manasseh, which settled in the region.

Stephen Epstein: Some went down the Mekong River into Vietnam, the Philippines, Siam, Thailand and Malaysia, while some of the Israelites moved to Burma and west to India.
