MICHAEL FREUND: Ezekiel is commanded by God to take two sticks. On one, he is to write "For Judah," and on the other "For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim." Then comes the crucial instruction: "Bring them together into one stick so that they become one in your hand" (37:17). Ezekiel's vision is not one of uniformity. The two sticks do not cease to be what they are. Judah remains Judah; Joseph remains Joseph. Unity does not erase difference – it sanctifies and elevates it by placing it within a larger shared destiny.

Ketriel Blad: In other words, in order for a total restoration to take place, the restored Ephraimites from among the nations will have to become Jewish, in the legal sense of the word, thus accepting the Jewish authorities and becoming obedient to Jewish halachah. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 37:19 the Hebrew text can be understood as HaShem giving Yehuda's stick the function of being over Ephraim's stick and this way both sticks will become one. This teaches us that the Ephraimite movement that comes from heaven cannot rise apart from the Jewish people without submission to the Jewish leaders' authority. This is not for all the gentiles.

DAVID M. WEINBERG: The latest Iranian ICBM seems to be based on the North Korean BM25 missile with a range of 3,500 km., meaning it could reach deep into Europe.

DAVID M. WEINBERG: This accounting is particularly important as America and Israel move closer – I hope and believe – to an essential, decisive military strike on Iran's nuclear bomb facilities and missile bases.

Gal Biton: The first proper carpet, as such, is believed to have been made in Persia (now Iran) sometime around the 6th century AD. This early carpet was made from wool and was used to cover the floors of wealthy homes.

Yossi Ives: The structures in Jerusalem were temples, whereas Shiloh and the portable sanctuary the Israelites had during their sojourn in the desert were tabernacles. While the temples in Jerusalem are repeatedly referred to as a "house" the place of worship erected in Shiloh is described as a "tent." It turns out that the distinction is significant. A temple, like a house, is designed to be permanent, whereas a tabernacle, like a tent, is inherently intended to be temporary. A house would only be destroyed if something went terribly wrong. A tent, on the other hand, would be taken down when it is no longer needed. When a house is taken down it is a big deal; when a tent gets taken down it is nothing significant, because it was never meant to be permanent.

STEWART WEISS: Let me begin by saying, unequivocally, that I am not an alarmist by nature. Having said that, I believe that we have already entered a Third World War.

DOUGLAS ALTABEF: Hezbollah is most certainly calling the shots, as it were, and setting the agenda. This state of affairs puts the onus squarely on Israel to change it. It is embarrassing to read how our senior military people talking about how we are getting closer to reaching a decision on what to do in the North. All that tells us is that they are enmeshed in a wait and see mindset.
ZINA RAKHAMILOVA: Israel has been put in a position where it now has to decide if it wants to change the status quo.

HADAS LORBER, YARON SHILAT: To unlock AI's full potential, Israel must act decisively.
AVI ASHKENAZI: The decision on whether to go for a ground maneuver in Lebanon may be made at the political level soon. The IDF understands that such a move will open at least one more fighting front in the Golan.
HERB KEINON: Ultimately, Israel's decision to accept this deal reflects a wrenching moral and strategic dilemma, pitting compassion against caution and immediate gain against long-term risk.
SETH J. FRANTZMAN: Israel has trained for a multi-front war for years, but when it came down to it, Jerusalem was not ready for it. Israel now faces endless attacks on seven fronts and without any answer to end this.

TULY WEISZ: Hebrew Prophets call explicitly for a day when non-Jews will turn towards the Bible. A Torah study revolution will not merely reverse the declining trends when it comes to the millennial generation, it will pave the way for true world peace, the ultimate spiritual solution for the next millennium.

From Spring Valley to Bethsaida קַשְׁתִּ֕י

“We are missing our families. We are used to seeing all the Christmas decorations everywhere,” said Vangie Lapada, 51, who has been working in Israel for five years. She is a caretaker in the Golan Heights in northern Israel, where there are few Christians.

Now look at Ezekiel 39:17-20. Here God calls forth the fowls & beast of the field to feast of the carcasses of the defeated Gog, but what I found interesting is the menu found in verse 18. Here among the slain of this terrible destruction lie an array of livestock, which Ezekiel identifes as the fatlings of Bashan. In other words, when Gog storms across the valley against the mountains of Israel, and the horrific judgement of God falls as described in Ezekiel 38:18-22, much of the livestock in the ancient land of Bashan will perish in the process.
The interesting thing about this whole scenario is that the ancient land of Bashan is located in what we now call the Golan Heights. A simple comparision of an old Bible map, and a modern map of Israel will verify this. So it appears from Ezekiel's prophecy that current, or future security arrangements in the Golan Heights could very well play an important part in the fulfillment of at least some of the many details Ezekiel provided.

Neil Asher Silberman, Israel Finkelstein, David Ussishkin, and Baruch Halpern: The Book of Joshua (12:21) specifically mentions the defeat of the king of Megiddo and the allotment of his territory to the tribe of Manasseh;

JACQUELINE SCHAALJE: Beit Shean is mentioned as belonging to the conquered area of the Israelite tribe of Manasseh

NETANYA MUNICIPALITY: thanks to the Lord for giving them {Netan~ya, lot. "gift of God"} the ability to continue the legacy of the 12 tribes who settled in the Land of Israel, and particularly of the half~tribe of Manasseh, which settled in the region.

Stephen Epstein: Some went down the Mekong River into Vietnam, the Philippines, Siam, Thailand and Malaysia, while some of the Israelites moved to Burma and west to India.
