“Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, 'Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.' Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, 'Belonging to Joseph (that is, to Ephraim) and all the Israelites associated with him'" (New International Version, Ezekiel 37:16 Multilingual).

Ketriel Blad: In other words, in order for a total restoration to take place, the restored Ephraimites from among the nations will have to become Jewish, in the legal sense of the word, thus accepting the Jewish authorities and becoming obedient to Jewish halachah. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 37:19 the Hebrew text can be understood as HaShem giving Yehuda's stick the function of being over Ephraim's stick and this way both sticks will become one. This teaches us that the Ephraimite movement that comes from heaven cannot rise apart from the Jewish people without submission to the Jewish leaders' authority. This is not for all the gentiles.

Hillel Fendel: Buffalo are currently raised in Moshav Bitzaron, just east of Ashdod, having been brought over from Italy. Zivotofsky says that these buffalo are the same as those that used to live here in Israel. "The Italian Jewish community still uses these animals today for their milk and meat," he said.

Hillel Fendel: Israel's Chief Rabbi has declared the water buffalo a kosher animal.
Ari Z. Zivotofsky: The Asiatic water buffalo (Bubalus arnee or Bubalus bubalis) is native to India and was probably not introduced to western Asia, i.e. the biblical lands, until shortly before the Common Era, near the very end of the biblical period.

STEWART WEISS: Let me begin by saying, unequivocally, that I am not an alarmist by nature. Having said that, I believe that we have already entered a Third World War.

DOUGLAS ALTABEF: Hezbollah is most certainly calling the shots, as it were, and setting the agenda. This state of affairs puts the onus squarely on Israel to change it. It is embarrassing to read how our senior military people talking about how we are getting closer to reaching a decision on what to do in the North. All that tells us is that they are enmeshed in a wait and see mindset.
ZINA RAKHAMILOVA: Israel has been put in a position where it now has to decide if it wants to change the status quo.

HADAS LORBER, YARON SHILAT: To unlock AI's full potential, Israel must act decisively.
AVI ASHKENAZI: The decision on whether to go for a ground maneuver in Lebanon may be made at the political level soon. The IDF understands that such a move will open at least one more fighting front in the Golan.
HERB KEINON: Ultimately, Israel's decision to accept this deal reflects a wrenching moral and strategic dilemma, pitting compassion against caution and immediate gain against long-term risk.
SETH J. FRANTZMAN: Israel has trained for a multi-front war for years, but when it came down to it, Jerusalem was not ready for it. Israel now faces endless attacks on seven fronts and without any answer to end this.

MARK REGEV: Tehran's pretext for involvement was to bolster its ally Bashar Assad, but its goals were much larger; to expand its sphere of influence, and ultimately to transform Ba'athist Syria into an Iranian satellite, a forward position from which to threaten the "Zionist regime."

YONAH JEREMY BOB: The facility in Natanz is built deep under a massive mountain, making it extremely difficult for the IDF to ever bomb it.

ALEX FISHMAN: Iran and Hezbollah have plans for the Golan Heights
I24NEWS: The Russians have been steadily gaining control over the Syrian Golan Heights region in recent weeks, establishing their own strong militia in the area, Hebrew-language outlet N12 reported Friday.
Taking control over three Syrian provinces adjacent to the Israeli border -- Daraa, Quneitra and Jabal al-Druze -- the Russian-backed militia may prove to become a safe zone cushion to Israel's northeastern border.
This recent development is a positive turn of events as far as Israel is concerned

The Holy Apostle Bartholomew was born at Cana. The village of Qana, about 18 miles (29 km) from Tyre, Lebanon, is traditionally held to be the correct site by many Christians, and is Eusebius's pick in his 4th century Onomasticon.
Bartholomew [Hebrew: בר-תלמי (Bar-Talmai), Aramaic meaning "Son of Talmai"] is identified as Nathanael or Nathaniel [Hebrew: נתנאל (Netan-el), meaning "God has given"], who was introduced to Jesus by Philip.
Absalom [Hebrew: אַבְשָׁלוֹם (Avshalom) meaning "Father of Peace"] was the third son of David, King of Israel with Maacah, Daughter of Talmai, King of Geshur.
Israeli archaeologists place Geshur in what is now the southern Golan Heights. Geshur was allotted to the half-tribe of Manasseh which settled east of the Jordan river.

JACQUELINE SCHAALJE: Beit Shean is mentioned as belonging to the conquered area of the Israelite tribe of Manasseh

NETANYA MUNICIPALITY: thanks to the Lord for giving them {Netan~ya, lot. "gift of God"} the ability to continue the legacy of the 12 tribes who settled in the Land of Israel, and particularly of the half~tribe of Manasseh, which settled in the region.
